Connect with other crafters
While organizing your stash and finding inspiration are important parts of MustStash, crafting has always been about more than just supplies and projects. It's also about sharing ideas, learning from each other, encouraging each other, and spending time with people who love the same hobby as you.
The Connect section is where those relationships begin to grow. One example of this is our growing collection of Craft-a-Longs. These are casual online crafting sessions where crafters can work on projects together, chat, share ideas, and simply enjoy spending time with other people who love crafting.
Over time, our hope is for MustStash to become not just a place to organize your supplies and projects, but a place where friendships and community naturally grow around them.
Finding other crafters
The search bar at the top of the Connect section lets you search for other crafters by name.
When you open someone's profile, you can:
- view their public projects
- follow them
- send them messages
- see who they follow
- see their followers
- send a Stash Buddy request
Following other crafters is one of the best ways to discover new inspiration and creative styles.
Following crafters
When you follow another crafter, you'll receive notifications when they share new projects and activity.
This makes it easy to:
- keep up with your favorite creators
- discover new techniques and ideas
- see what your friends are making
- stay inspired by the community
As you interact with projects, you'll also receive notifications for:
- comments on your projects
- replies to your comments
- other community activity related to your creations
Messages and notifications
The Connect section includes both notifications and direct messages.
Notifications help you keep track of community activity, while messages allow you to have private conversations with other crafters inside MustStash.
You can also archive notifications once you're finished with them to keep your Connect page organized.
Stash Buddies
Stash Buddies are a special type of connection inside MustStash.
When two people become Stash Buddies, they can search and browse each other's stashes.
For example, before a crafting retreat, you might ask a friend:
"Could you bring that Blooming Sunflowers stamp set from Gina K? I'd love to make a card with it."
Because Stash Buddies can search each other's stashes, it's much easier to discover and share supplies together.
To become Stash Buddies, simply send a Stash Buddy request and wait for the other person to accept.
